We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the prestigious Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity invites highly talented and outstanding graduates to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s Degree) in Malaysia.

As a fully-funded scholarship, recipients of the MTCP Scholarship will receive generous allowances provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia through their individual savings accounts. To ensure smooth financial transactions, scholars are advised to open a Malaysian bank account upon their arrival in Malaysia.

About the MTCP Scholarship: This scholarship opportunity is open to applicants who have received a valid admission offer letter from at least one university in Malaysia. It is available for those who have not yet commenced their postgraduate studies or have registered for no more than one semester for a Master’s Degree.

Applicants must maintain satisfactory academic progress and good standing throughout their study duration as stipulated by their host university. Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  1. Age: Applicants should not exceed 45 years at the time of application.
  2. Academic Qualifications: For Master’s Degree programs, applicants must have obtained a minimum of Second Class Upper (Honours) or a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (or equivalent) at the undergraduate level.
  3. English Language Proficiency: Applicants must provide proof of English Language Proficiency, such as IELTS (minimum total score of 6) or TOEFL internet-based test (minimum total score of 60). Alternatively, applicants who have completed previous degrees with English as the medium of instruction are also eligible.
  4. Health Certification: Applicants must possess an excellent level of health certified by a doctor or physician. The cost of the medical check-up will be fully borne by the applicant.
  5. Full-Time Study: Applicants must undertake full-time study for postgraduate programs (Master’s Degree) at one of the selected Malaysian Universities. Please refer to the list of universities provided.

    • Certified copy of Academic Transcript.
    • Curriculum Vitae.
    • Certified copy of English Language Proficiency test result (TOEFL/IELTS/PTE/CAE/CPE/MUET or equivalent qualification) or an official letter from the previous institution declaring English as the medium of instruction for the obtained degree(s).
    • Certified copy of Passport as evidence of nationality (with a minimum of 18 months validity).
